First I would like to announce that i have a new volunteer!!!  Kevin Stacey has volunteered to help with transcriptions and the website!!  Hopefully i will not run this volunteer off with the volume that i bombard somone with, but he seems to be a good sport, and i refuse to scare him off!! :)  Thanks Kevin in advance for the help!  It is more appreciated than i think you know!

By request from some of the people that have visited the site i have uploaded the North Petherton Parish (England) burial and funeral records.  These are only pages from books, and I plan to upload the remaining shortly.  Prior to that, I have some requests for the Somerset Parish Records (England) these are actual copies of the Parish Books that have been micrfilmed by the LDS.  This is about 200 pages, and may take me some time to scan as well, but i hope to get it completed soon.

If you look again at the England Link, you will notice there is...

June 1-19th Updates

June 19, 2008

It has been a very eventful month!  As only some of you will see, there has been a problem accessing the images linked on the site.  Only certian providers are experiancing this, and I was told that the issue should be resolved within a few days.  Apparently, a turkish organization hacked into the photobucket provider and they are still trying to repair the damage.  In the meantime, I have not been able to upload any more images to the site, but my uncle Ben has almost completed the Texas death certificates that i have placed on there already.  Prior to the server crash, I added the following new pages and links to images on the site to name a few.

  • Alabama Cemeteries.  All the cemeteries that show links to them have now all been indexed and the images attached to them. Keep checking on this one often as there is still much more to come.
  • Mississippi Transcriptions.  Several deeds, probates, wills, etc, have been added to this page.  Transcriptions are yet to come.
  • Alabama Transcriptions.  All the documents on there now have their images linked to them.  There are several that are still needing to be transcribed, but you can download...

Website Updates

May 27, 2008

As you can all see I have made a few changes to the site and added a few new features to make the site easier to navigate and easier to build.

  1. A seach engine has been added to the site and can be found on the front page of the Stacy Legacy website.  This should make it easier for everyone to locate a specific person, if their document they are attached to has been transcribed.  Please note that the search engine will only pic up names and words that have been typed.  Most all of the images that i have on the site are linked to a typed name so this should not be a problem.  Each day I am adding more images and links, so make sure to check back often.
  2. I have purchased this site for 2 years, so there will be no more pop ups or advertisements!!  YEAH!!  Those things were driving me nuts.  Not to mention, by purchasing the site, i am allowed more storage space and bigger upload files, so that i dont have to keep going between 3 seperate servers to make one site...  this alone makes it easier for me, and hopefully will make...
