Part of the head waters of Hughes Creek about 87 degrees W 16 ½ miles from the town of Linden being the eastern half of the south half of the John Bird head right survey and having boundaries as follows: beginning at the north east corner of the land to be described which is also the North east corner of the north half of said John Bird survey of 1/6 of a league at a stake from which a post oak 6 in did bearings north 70 degrees E 1 1.2 varas marked T a black oak 10 in did bearing north 16 degrees west 1 ½ varas marked X. Thence west on the south line of the north half of he said J. Bird survey 1450 31/1000 varas a stake a post oak 14 in diameter bearing North 79 degrees west 1 ½ varas marked BX a hickory ?? bearings north 6 degrees west ¾ varas marked and thence south on the east line of the west half of the south half of the said bridge 1/6 of a leage 1450 varas to a stake Sruall red oak bearings about south 45 degrees West 3 varas a Suall post oak bearing about east 1 vara both marked X. Thence the north line of J. H. Allen's tract of land 1450 31/100 varas to the south east corner of the above mentioned J. Bird survey for description separate thence worth their lines of the Millbrooks & Campbells surveys 1450 varas to the place of beginning containing 372 ½ acres.

Coker present homestead thence north with same to a ten acre block bought of F. B. Tally by F. M. Coker in 1878. Thence around the saull to the north west corner of Saull thence north to the beginning corner the same being 30 acres more or less.
